Update on Truck Traffic Study
Thanks to all New Baltimore residents who were able to attend the Truck traffic study meeting on Tuesday evening. Your comments and questions to the study staff, and the large presence of folks from New Baltimore made it very clear that the impact on New Baltimore of the truck traffic is significant and our Town must be equally part of any proposed solution.
Thanks to Senator Hinchey and her staff, for their attention to this problem from Day 1. A meeting between Senator Hinchey and Albany County Executive Dan McCoy resulted in New Baltimore being included in the study.
We are being heard and our united effort with the Town of Coeymans, Town of Bethlehem/Hamlet of Selkirk and the Village of Ravena has raised this problem to this level where it is being recognized and has the attention of State and County officials. They understand a solution must be found.
We will keep you all posted on progress related to this study and issue.
Most importantly, the study website will be open for comments and questions at least through July. Please send your concerns, information and photos (!) about what you have experienced due to the traffic, on the Study website at: https://coeymanstruckstudy.com
